The policy statement appears online and is scheduled for publication in the March issue of the journal Pediatrics. Lead policy statement author Dr. Gary Smith, who directs the Center for Injury and Policy at Nationwide Childrens Hospital, says that many foods that are thought to be kid-friendly are actually dangerous.
