The section on overdosage now notes that overdoses of this drug have resulted in a higher death rate than overdoses of other tricyclic antidepressants. Also, a new warning in the labeling now says to use extreme caution when giving this drug to patients with a family history of sudden death, cardiac dysrhythmias, and cardiac conduction disturbances. The warning also notes that in some patients, the cardiac dysrhythmias and death were preceded by seizures.
