Uploaded and shared in Youtube by: wustlpa — In this devastating arrhythmia, the wave of electrical activity doesn't start at the sinus node, travel across the heart and then stop. Instead the electrical impulse starts in the ventricles and circles continuously through the heart like a miniature tornado. The ventricles beat very rapidly, as many as 10 times a second. (The movie has been slowed down.) Once in tachycardia, the cardiac cells can lose coherence and the rhythm degenerate into quivering, called fibrillation. Unless the heart is shocked back into rhythm, death quickly follows.
